A truly wonderful care home with compassionate, professional staff who go above and beyond for the residents. The environment is always clean and welcoming, with plenty of great activities to keep everyone engaged. Communication is excellent and provides real peace of mind for families. Highly recommended!

My Mum came to Sycamore Heights in Nov 2025 when her physical health needs became too complex for the care home she was at. I had previously viewed Sycamore back in Feb 2025 and knew that if possible I wanted her to go there for her ongoing care and now nursing needs. Since she’s been there her care needs have changed and she’s gone from being really quite independent despite living with mixed dementia to needing help with everything. Staff have respected her, her needs, her wishes and her independent nature throughout these changes and she has been treated with kindness and dignity. I have been kept informed on changes to her medications, her medical conditions and any causes of concern. I feel they are honest and straight talking which I personally appreciate greatly.
The building itself is modern, well decorated, and spotlessly clean.There is an air of calmness to the place that I have not felt in other homes. The meals are delicious and there is always a choice, the cakes are also worth the calories! The activities are varied and may not be as all singing and dancing as some homes, but I’ve learnt to look beyond all the bells and whistles and the activities team at Sycamore really care about their residents and take the time to chat and listen to them as well as doing the activities. They go the extra mile and that means a lot.
I myself have also been treated with great kindness from all the different staffing teams. Whilst negotiating a difficult time watching a loved one coming to the end of their journey this has been invaluable. At this point in time I would highly recommend Sycamore Heights to anyone looking to stay themselves or to those finding a nursing home for a loved one.

My mother recently received respite care at Sycamore Heights following surgery. Compassion, competence, a ‘home from home’ wecloming environment and utmost professionalism are just some of the words I would use to describe the excellent care my mother received from all members of the care team, led by Heather, and all delivered in this modern home.
Oh and did I mention how good the food is! – again it is excellent
So many other care homes, in our experience, do not meet the claims made in their brochures but here is one that truly does!
