I visited Optical Express Reading today for an eye assessment to see if I was suitable for laser eye surgery, and I had a very positive experience from start to finish.
From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Damani, who was exceptionally friendly, professional, and approachable. He guided me through the various eye assessment procedures in a relaxed and comfortable environment, explaining everything clearly and providing a great deal of useful information. His professionalism and excellent customer service made me feel at ease throughout the appointment.
I was then referred to Sally, who was equally friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She carried out my eye tests thoroughly and took the time to answer my questions.
Although I was unfortunately not suitable for laser eye surgery, I left feeling well-informed and reassured about my eye health and any future treatment options. The team provided excellent advice and support, which I greatly appreciated.
I have happily ticked all the boxes for service, professionalism, and overall experience. You are all stars, and I would like to thank the entire team for their outstanding care and support.

I had my procedure in Southampton, and the entire operation went very smoothly. Although I experienced a few minor issues during my recovery, the aftercare I received was absolutely second to none. The team were incredibly supportive and reassuring throughout.
All of my post-operative checks were carried out at the Reading branch, and I genuinely cannot fault any member of staff there. Everyone was professional, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease at every appointment.
My eyes are now almost fully recovered, and the improvement in my vision has genuinely changed my life. I’m so grateful for the care I received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering treatment.

I was super nervous at first especially as I had been turned away by another provider but I decided to get a second opinion. The second opinion was one of the best decisions ive ever made. The procedure was super quick and painless and post surgery support was great and didn’t discharge me until completely happy my dry eyes had stopped and they now have. Persistence is key here for the dry eyes and dont be worried if you get it but I can now get married with no glasses and better vision than my other half. Incredibly happy with the process and care

I had LRS 3 months ago… I’m glad I had it done and was pleased with the service I got from OE. The team at the Reading branch were friendly and efficient. I chose to have the surgery in Southampton which worked out well… it was quick and again efficient. The aftercare has been good and has met my needs. I.paid with jnterest free credit which was easy to set up with help from OE. I would recommend OE for anyone thinking of having eye surgery… also it’s a free initial consultation with no hard sell or pressure so even if you are just thinking about it you have nothing to loose by going along.
