Absolutely fantastic care home!! It’s so hard deciding that your loved one needs to move into a care home but, having visited several facilities in and around Reading, we chose Friends Place and are delighted with it!
Within 2 weeks a senior staff member phoned to ask if we agreed for mum to help with domestic chores – which is exactly what she’s always enjoyed doing! It was good to see how they’d got to know her so well so quickly! Mum is very contented living at Friends Place, joins in with the excellent activities happily and receives excellent care. The staff are so friendly it is great to visit! I cannot recommend it highly enough!

It is a modern, beautifully maintained facility with excellent amenities, something that is increasingly hard to find. What truly sets Friends Place apart, however, is the staff. They are exceptional: compassionate, professional, and genuinely invested in achieving the best possible outcomes for the residents.
They have been incredibly accommodating of my mum’s individual needs, giving me both peace of mind and the much-needed respite I was struggling to find. Most importantly, they have created an environment where my mum genuinely feels at home.
I am deeply grateful to have found Friends Place and cannot recommend it highly enough.

My Mum was the first resident in the home, we chose it having had a good look round and researching. She is do happy and safe there. The staff are lovely to her and the other residents, welcoming when we visit and nice to each other. It’s like a very good quality hotel, the facilities are second to none, hair salon, bar, cinema and tea room. The food is great. I really can find no fault and couldn’t be happier that she’s so well cared for in a beautiful setting with warm, caring staff. Thank you all so very much.
