Excellent reconditioned furniture at a reasonable price and accessories.Freindly staff.

As others have already stated, staff were quite rude. I rang about an item of furniture as did not want a wasted journey (I live half an hour away). I was politely asked by the lady on the phone to email photographs, which I did, after which I was told that the furniture was something they’d be interested in. All fine at this stage. When I arrived to deliver it I was met by a rather rude lady who insisted I couldn’t have called ahead or emailed as she hadn’t seen it. When I insisted I had and was asked to bring the furniture in she passed the blame onto volunteers who were mistaken. No apology at all for my wasted journey. When shown the furniture she effectively sneered at it and proceeded to list everything wrong with it and all the work that would need to go in to restoring it (despite the fact it is a workshop that restores furniture). She helpfully recommended I simply throw it away. All in all an unpleasant experience, I shall not be returning for a wasted journey and a rude reception. Will just use Facebook marketplace in future.

This place is great, a huge variety of furniture, soft furnishings, vintage silverware and full dining sets with serving platters. But the best thing is the haberdashery treasure trove at the back, simply loaded with fabric and anything you could want for a project. The shop was also beautifully decorated for Christmas and staff were friendly and ready to help out.
