I couldn’t recommend Observatory Opticians more highly. I was visiting the area on holiday and had a bit of a panic when I realised I’d forgotten to pack my contact lenses. I popped in on the off chance they might be able to help, and although they didn’t have my lenses in store, the member of staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
They genuinely went above and beyond to try to help me, even offering to use their phone to contact the local branch of my usual optician while I had no signal. They were incredibly kind and thoughtful, and even sent me away with a little something to help me out in the meantime — such a lovely gesture.
It’s rare to come across that level of genuine care and helpfulness, especially when you’re not even a customer. A huge thank you — your kindness (and generosity!) was very much appreciated. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visiting Beccles today and my husband had a problem with his sunglasses and although he did not purchase his sunglasses from Observatory Jacqui was so very very kind and helpful and the service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I was tempted to try on different frames and styles for myself as there was a very good choice will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Extremely helpful staff, my eye test was very thorough an everything was explained to me in great detail but made easy for me to understand, I was helped with choosing my new glasses and once they arrived and needed fitting they not only managed to fit me in slightly before my appointment time but also adjusted my old glasses which I had damaged so that I had a spare back up pair just in case! I cant fault the service at all! I’ll be back next year.

Top experience here in Beccles. Unhurried, thorough sight test and knowledgeable staff. I thought £37 price tag for retina pictures a bit too high. Lots of frames to chose from on display.

The Observatory Opticians – I honestly can’t rate this place highly enough. My husband and I went for our first eye test, and Naomi was absolutely wonderful — so helpful and reassuring throughout.
Jackie, Sarah, Marcus, and Faye were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole team made us feel so welcome.
