Melody Care Alton & Bordon

The carers in this company are first class except one but of course there is always one bad apple. The biggest problem with Melody Care Alton is with the two managers who fail to understand the importance of good communication. I have recently found the need to send Kerry two emails, each requesting Confirmation of receipt and it comes as no surprise to say that I have not had a response. So often there were changes to the weekly care schedule which not only I but others were not advised about. There were numerous times when different carers to those expected turned up, it would have been so easy to have communicated that to us, the biggest gripe when late, was lack of travel time. I can concur with them as they often showed me their care schedule for clients and how could you be expected to travel 6 miles in zero minutes. I am aware that the care staff are currently very demoralised and aware that staff are now leaving due to lack of respect by the managers at Alton branch.I found out on Friday that one of their excellent carers called Amber apparently ceased her employment with immediate effect due to ‘alleged’ bad treatment from management at Melody Care Alton. I am unable to comment further except to say for me she was an excellent carer with an excellent personality who treated many of the clients that I know with professionalism and dignity and always a smile.
