Tom at Meadow Mobility was very helpful the other day when a pin had broken off in my mobility scooter battery charger’s connector plug. I was staying with my daughter’s family in St Albans on grandchildren duty, and none of us knows anything about batteries or chargers. My husband ordered a replacement charger for next day delivery from Amazon, but it appeared not to be working. Shopmobility in St Albans couldn’t help, but gave me Meadow Mobility’s phone number. My husband called them and Tom, who answered, confirmed immediately that they could help, and said I should go to the shop with the battery and the two chargers. I could get a bus to Hemel Hempstead, but then it has to be a taxi to the Meadow Mobility shop if, like me, you don’t drive. Tom immediately identified the problem as a blown fuse in the battery and replaced it. He made no charge. Thank you Tom and Meadow Mobility for saving the situation efficiently and supportively! And another very important thing – My scooter is no longer being manufactured but it is so much better for me than the scooters available now. The mobility shops around where I live have all refused to service a model that is no longer made, but Meadow Mobility said they can repair it if I can source the parts required. This makes Meadow Mobility stand out beyond other mobility shops.
