My sister attends Kingfisher Day Center and loves going. The team provide a great selection of crafts and activities for all abilities both at the center and other locations. The team are amazing and always willing to help and keep me informed of any external activities which are happening. Transport to and from the center can also be arranged.

My dad has been with Kingfisher for a number of years and it’s become part of his weekly routine. It’s one of very few outlets he can enjoy with some independence and it has enabled him to have a social group with the staff encouraging his interaction and involvement.
Whilst he has some cognitive challenges the Kingfisher team are inclusive and so very patient with him. Regular crafts, games and days out has allows for him to continue to be involved in a safe setting – some of which the family would not have been able to provide with ongoing other commitments.
Kingfisher is more than a day centre for him as well as the family, we are very grateful for Ali and the team who are so patient and understanding for the individual needs of each service user. Regular communication and updates are received and we enjoy coming along to some social invites too!
The respite allows for mum to break from caring and the support Kingfisher has provided Dad since his dementia diagnosis is simply priceless.
