Elms Barn

From the moment myself and my newly wedding husband Harry arrived at Elms Barn to view the venue, we fell in love with it. Not only is the venue stunningly beautiful, the vision Ruth Melton (Wedding and Events Director) helped create was second to none.

Every question was answered with ease and complete flexibility. Taking the stress away of needing to sort our own caterer or florest was a massive help for us – Elms Barn have their own amazing team of chefs and in-house florest. Their dedication and eye for perfection is just beyond words so I will sum up with completely fabulous! The value for money is great, with three different price range options for meals, a huge selection of wines available with varying prices and a ‘no pressure zone’. It really was our day to plan and budget, with Ruth’s understanding and guidance.

The accommodation was also perfect… the convenience and cleanliness was immaculate. I would recommend to any bride and groom that they stay at the Stackyard Lodge!

The given recommendation of suppliers, services and vendors were perfect. It was easy to tell that so many vendors had been involved in previous weddings at Elms Barn and it made the day even more seamless for it. Everyone was working perfectly together and clearly having an amazing time.

We got married here in August and it was truly the most magical weekend of our lives.

Us and 24 of our guests stayed on site for 2 nights.

The venue and grounds are beautiful and well kept. The lodges were immaculate and lovely!

We had a BBQ on the Friday night, the staff were brilliant and very efficient.

Our wedding on Saturday was perfect.

The ceremony was beautiful, held in the outside rose garden.

We had booked 6 alpacas to join us for the reception drinks and photos, to keep our guests entertained. Ruth, our wedding co ordinator said they had never had alpacas before, but this didnt matter one bit. She was straight on the case, liasing with the farm directly, taking all the stress of organising off our hands.

Dinner exceeded our expectations. Portions were large and food was delicious. The staff were all incredibly attentive and friendly. One waitress actually came to thank us for having such a great wedding dinner playlist.

The evening food was incredible. The curry was so delicious our guests still mention it now.

Ruth burst on to the dancefloor and danced her socks off to Footloose, which grabbed all of our guests attention and was one of our highlights of the entire day!! She was amazing!

As a bit of a control freak, my anxiety was through the roof, worrying that something would be missed of forgotten.

My only regret is spending the weeks leading up to the wedding stressing for no reason.

Ruth was exceptional from start to finish. I sent endless streams of emails i could barely keep up with myself, and Ruth replied to every single one promptly.
She was present for every minute of our weekend, honestly, an absolute superstar

By the end of the weekend , majority of our guests knew Ruth by name, and she got so many compliments from family over the weeks after our wedding about how amazing she was!

We were thrilled to recently learn Elms Barn had one best barn venue in the UK at the guides for brides awards. Thoroughly deserved

We can’t thank Elms Barn enough for making our weekend truly perfect, and of course Ruth for being such a pleasure to deal with and bringing everything together with such precision!

We got married here May 2025 and i cannot recommend a better wedding venue, the space is beautiful, the grounds are stunning and the staff incredible. Ruth made our day extra special, she was so attentive and accommodating, and made my life as a bride to be so easy. A perfect venue for a perfect day
