I was referred to Brown & White Opticians Kempston via the CUES pathway for an urgent eye issue, and I couldn’t have asked for better care. Despite the worry of an urgent referral, the staff immediately put my mind at ease with their calm and professional manner. The examination was incredibly thorough, and Kazim the optometrist was clearly very knowledgeable, explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand. It’s a huge relief to have such a helpful and high-quality service available locally. I felt completely looked after throughout.

We went earlier this week to choose new frames for my 6 year old, the staff who were working, I think it was Inga, Kelly , and the receptionist (didn’t catch her
name). They were all absolutely fantastic with my son Joel, who has autism
and global developmental delay/severe learning needs. Appointments like this
can be quite difficult for Joel (and me!), but they all engaged with Joel
really well, followed his lead, and let him have some fun too! We had lots
of fun picking up his glasses, it really made our day.
We have been coming since he first wore glasses at 9 months and they have always been fantastic. Lots of great advice, and always quick to repair when he breaks them!
Definitely advise going here with children with SEN.

I don’t normally leave Google reviews, but I really wanted to on this occasion because the service I received was so good.
I had a really great experience at Brown & Whites opticians in Kempston thanks to Kelly. She was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure I chose the right lenses, especially as I’m currently changing between different types of glasses, which I really appreciated. She discussed all the options and made sure I chose the lenses that were right for me.
She then helped me try on lots of different frames without making me feel rushed or pressured. She really listened to what I was looking for, made great recommendations and made sure the frames I chose suited exactly what I wanted, which made the whole process so much easier and actually enjoyable.
Kelly was extremely patient throughout, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about making sure you leave with the right glasses for you.
I would highly recommend Brown & Whites opticians in Kempston — it’s absolutely worth it for the expertise, the eye test was so thorough, all the staff are so friendly and the level of customer service is absolutely brilliant. 10/10.

Great service, in person as well as via email. They really took thier time to let us choose the right frames for our 2 year old son. Did not felt rushed or pressured to purchase anything in particular, we we’re given great advise and all our questions and worries were answered. Customer service carried on to the highest standard even after the purchase was completed. Highly recommend for adults and children’s glasses.
