Mr Tailor is an extremely knowledgeable and caring eye doctor. Having known him for many years i would never get my eyes tested anywhere else. I always get my glasses from here and ive never had any issues.

I posted a one star review yesterday and explained why. The owner responded saying that they felt my review was “completely unjustified”. They have a business to protect so I can understand their feelings. The owner also responded to my review by saying that I was “expecting a free replacement of the lenses”. Whilst that would have been nice it is not what I was expecting nor what I asked for. What I asked was whether anything could be done about the problem. I was told that nothing could be done because the guarantee had expired. There was no discussion as to what might be possible and I was effectively sent walking. I was not expecting that. So all in all that’s why I gave a one star review. I have now made an appointment with an alternative optician in order to replace the £339 lenses that I bought from Brian Clark in October 2021 because they are no longer fit for purpose. Having worn spectacles for 65 years I think I know what one can reasonably expect from a pair of lenses and to have to replace them after just over 2.5 years is not part of that expectation.

I bought replacement lenses from this optician in October 2021, i.e. just over 2.5 years ago at a cost of £339. They are now so degraded that I am unable to adequately see through them and they will need to be replaced. I am 67 years old and I have always treated my glasses with care. I have kept my previous glasses (different prescription), I used them for a LOT longer than 2.5 years and they remain crystal clear. I have just been to Brian Clark’s (taking along my previous glasses for comparative purposes) to raise this matter only to be told “sorry, your lenses are beyond their two year guarantee and there is nothing that we can do about them”. Frankly, I am disgusted and will be going elsewhere in the future.
