Im a first time buyer and went to Brewer Harding and Rowe on the recommendation of a friend who felt they were good.
Unfortunately that was not my experience. Telephone messages from me were replied to by email, and halfway through the process I was leaving messages for Amy to call me only to be told by my estate agent that she was not around and my case had probably been passed to Jack. They didn’t bother to inform me.
Despite explaining I was new to the process and needed to have things explained, responses appeared disinterested and cut short. At the end of the process I was told I had overpaid and would get a refund, only to be emailed later to say I owed them more money.
Overall the job got done but I did not feel supported or of interest to them so I would not recommend Brewer Harding and Rowe to first time buyers.

What can I say other than – this firm is THE BEST! I instructed Greg Cloke to assist with the purchase of some land. He has restored my faith in solicitors. Solid communication through the entire transaction (responding to emails within half an hour usually, often less) – proactive in following up with the sellers solicitor in a way which actually resulted in positive steps forward, extremely thorough, no stone unturned. I was considering trying to do this without a solicitor as it seemed like a simple purchase but luckily I went with Greg and it’s a good job I did as there were a number of important considerations which I might have missed.
