Bedford Crematorium

For the second time we have arrived to visit a grave of a loved one and the gate is locked. This is within the advertised opening hours. When it takes nearly an hour to get here and also with the cost of fuel this is unacceptable actions by the council. On line it says 20.00 but on the gate when we arrived it said 19.00. I couldn’t walk up to where the grave is so was a wasted journey.

Very calm and funeral allowed up to 20 mourners ..

Set back from the main norse Road the Crematorium and burial grounds are well maintained with paths
And roads around the site. Addmin is located in the buildings to the left as you enter the site main gates
with the chapels And cremation facilities to the right. Multi denominations chapels are used to cover services of all faith’s and religions. A fairly modern Crematorium facilities are located to the rear of the building run by the borough council with staff on site 24-7-365. Workshop and onsite living quarter’s ensure that the site is well maintained and secure and covered by discrete cctv.
