What a wonderful day! My Mum, Win, was about to turn 100 and Dashwood Manor Care Home had arranged for her to have a flight in a 6-seater plane from Blackbushe Airport organised through Aerobility. We were accompanied by staff from Dashwood Manor – Leahanne, Ru and Sammi – and fellow residents Brian and Peter. After a briefing by our pilot, Paul, Mum was safely buckled into her seat next to Paul, while Ru and I sat behind. We flew over Stratfield Saye and Heckfield Place and Paul pointed out the Isle of Wight in the far distance before flying over Dashwood Manor much to the delight of the staff and residents who had gathered outside to wave to us. A welcome lunch awaited us on our return to Blackbushe where Paul presented Mum with her flight certificate. It was an amazing experience, Mum loved every minute.

My father was a resident at Dashwood Manor for almost 30 months . During that time the staff and management team were faultless in the care of my frail father . The place is immaculate at all times day and night . The activities team are on it all the time . The nursing team were with my dad when he passed early in the morning , a big comfort for my sister and I. The carers have been superb and watching them interact against at sometimes a stubborn brick wall of a man bought a smile to my face . Cannot recommend this care home more highly

I have attended several events here and have always been really impressed. The staff are kind, caring, and clearly passionate about what they do. The lifestyle team deserve a special mention for organising such a great variety of engaging activities. It’s clear they put a lot of thought and effort into supporting the residents. The café is always well stocked up! A lovely, welcoming environment overall.

Dashwood Manor is a truly beautiful care home that genuinely cares for its residents. Home Instead Basingstoke work closely with Sammi and the wonderful activities team, regularly attending our regular Community Let’s Sing for Memories sessions and supporting us at events. They always bring their clients along for a good sing‑song and even helped create some gorgeous Easter bakes and cakes for an Easter Tea Dance.
The team danced alongside the residents, which really showed the love, joy, and fantastic support they offer every day. We have also visited Dashwood Manor on many occasions to see dear friends, and the staff are always incredibly caring, sensitive, and attentive to individual needs.
The home is spotless, welcoming, and relaxed – a lovely place to sit and chat with residents over a cup of tea and cake. We’ve also attended birthday parties organised by the team, which are always thoughtfully planned and bring so much happiness. A beautiful care home with a warm atmosphere and a team that truly goes above and beyond.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Dashwood Manor Care Home for many years, taking part in everything from park litter-picking and pumpkin carving to their lovely afternoon teas. Every visit reminds us why Dashwood stands out. The staff are consistently caring, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels included.
A special mention must go to Sammi, who organises a fantastic variety of personalised trips throughout the year. These outings are thoughtfully planned to reflect the interests of the individuals involved, making them truly meaningful experiences.
