Ticehurst Care Home With Nursing

We placed our loved one (a retired vulnerable nurse) in this care home believing they would be safe and well looked after, but unfortunately our experience has been extremely distressing. We raised a formal complaint on 29th June. Despite their own policy stating responses should be provided within 20 working days, we are now well beyond that timeframe and still haven’t received a full response addressing every point raised.

Our family’s complaint 10 weeks on STILL remains unresolved – despite numerous attempts for answers. Absolutely shocking!

This entire process has left us frustrated, worried, and deeply disappointed in the way the home has handled our concerns so far. Families deserve transparency, accountability, and reassurance that their loved ones are properly cared for, but sadly, we have not experienced this.

Update as of July 2026 this is STILL not resolved and we are being ignored.

My friend stayed here after a stay in hospital. I have worked in many nursing and care homes, and I can honestly say that this is the best home that I have ever been in. I visited her twice a week and I was very impressed by how kind and caring the staff genuinely were towards all of the residents.
The food was really good and the portion sizes were great, my friend thoroughly enjoyed every meal. I was always offered a drink when the residents had one, which was always really appreciated.
The activities that were arranged for the residents were very good and my friend thoroughly enjoyed her weekly bingo games and garden party and bbq. I can’t recommend this home highly enough, and if you are looking for respite or long term care, you won’t be disappointed by choosing Ticehurst.

My mum was at Ticehurst for the last 18 months of her life. She’s absolutely loved living there all of the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for her. I am so grateful for the amazing care and kindness they gave to both my mother and myself when she past last month. Thank you all so much
