My brother has been living at Rose Cottage for six years and is very happy there, especially now that the home is under new management. The surroundings have improved no end with refurbishment taking place inside and out and the care is excellent. The staff are very friendly and always smiling, they treat my brother with the dignity and respect he deserves.
As I live a distance away from Swindon, I am not able to visit as much as I’d like to, however, I am able to have face to face catch ups with him via today’s technology.
I recieve updates on his monthly care plan and I am always contacted if there is a health problem, which gives me great peace of mind. Keep up the great work Rose Cottage 👏

My lovely neighbour was moved to Rose cottage around 12 months ago and I was a little worried having heard horror stories of how some nursing homes treat their residents. To my absolute surprise, as soon as I saw how safe, comfortable and very well cared for she was, all my worries disappeared. Thank you for taking such good care of my dear friend.

I have not been inside this care home as unfortunately the manager did not want to speak to me to arrange a visit. I called and asked if I could arrange a visit to look around as my dad is currently in rehab and this was one place they suggested could meet his needs. I spoke to someone who cut me off promptly and said I would need to speak to the manager and they would see if they could put them on. I could hear the manager in the background then say “I have only come in to do a few things today and this wasn’t it!” Very abruptly and said she would not speak to me. I was then asked to call Monday, I explained that my working hours (in a school that therefore requires me to have my phone off) would mean that I would need to call before 8am or around 5pm. The lady explained that she could leave a note but there was no guarantee anyone would speak to me! I wouldn’t mind being asked to call back on Monday if the manager wasn’t heard talking like families and prospective new clients were a nuisance. If that is the way they are prepared to speak to people then I would not feel at all confident of the level of care and compassion offered behind closed door. Unfortunately first impressions count and this is by far the worst impression of any care home we have contacted. Needless to say I will not be calling back on Monday.

My mum moved into rose cottage in June she was come on leaps and bounds the care is excellent and wouldn’t have mum my anywhere else
