I can’t recommend RJ Holmes Opticians enough.
The staff are friendly, helpful and it’s always excellent service, whatever you’re in for — be it an eyesight test or anything else eye-related.
I’ve had my eyes tested here for years, but I also recently went in with a chalazion, and they were really helpful in checking it properly and advising me on what to do next. It’s reassuring to know they’re not just there for routine eye tests, but also for general eye health concerns too.
Highly recommend RJ Holmes Opticians for anyone needing glasses or a reliable optician. Five stars!

Staff are always very flexible on appointments or for minor adjustments. Reassuringly, they have all the right technology for a thorough eye test. The experience of the staff shines through when choosing glasses – they just know what will suit your face shape which makes the whole process so much easier!

I recently had my two yearly checkup. Always greeted with a smile. The optometrist was very professional, and explained everything that I was uncertain about, which was reassuring.
All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I have been going to them for over 20 years, I have never been unhappy with any of my new spectacles. Always happy to help. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
