I popped in today to get an arm of a pair of sunglasses (not from the opticians) repaired and had a great experience. Jacqui helped me straight away, was hospitable and even got a colleague to assist while not charging me for the service. She also was very kind to another customer who came in for cleaning fluid. The staff are friendly, nothings too much trouble for them. The eye test itself is thorough and there’s absolutely no hint of being rushed through. The same applies to choosing the frames, they are not happy until the customer is happy. Have used The Observatory for many years and I wouldn’t change now for hopefully many years to come !! Completely satisfied customer 😊.

Brilliant service today for a really simple issue. Needed a repair to get a leg back on my sunglasses. Sorted no problem. I’m not local but i observed excellent service for a local who was choosing some new frames. Very personal, unobtrusive and helpful, friendly service.
If I’m ever asked to recommend an optician in coastal Suffolk, this one is an easy choice.
