Meryl and her fantastic team worked hard to get me back on my feet again resulting in me having a home and a job. But not just me, lots of others are enjoying a new life thanks to the efforts of Newbury Soup Kitchen. x

Meryl and her band of merry volunteers delivery a friendly, none judgemental supportive evening 6-8pm every Thursday evening. Week in and week out they help and support so many people offering a wide variety of excellent food, including vegetarian options. I see their patience, concern, support helping each individual to feel welcome and supported. The work goes on every week not just Thursday evening but also Saturday 4pm in the wharf for warm soup, noodles and hot drinks, the only place for those less fortunate to eat. They deal with so much with such heartfelt kindness I have never seen anything so wonderfully warming. I know that many other activities, tasks, visits, training, meetings and I am sure the list is endless and these are done all the time as well as the open sessions. I know it must take all day and more to make the food to be offered? Keep up the great work Meryl and your wonderful Team. Thank you for everything you all do for all those needing your help and support it is always very much appreciated
