Not a place to go for palliative care. When my father was moved there from a hospice they fed him and kept him clean but apart from coming to do these activities just left him alone, staring and the wall for the rest of the time. The visiting regime in March was not as stated on their website and only 2 one hour appointments could be booked each week. One hour visits were permitted at other times so long as there were no other visitors in the home. We were told that as he neared the end, they would let us know and the rules would be relaxed. They did not do this and as it turned out he had no visitors at all for the last few days of his life.

My mother was transferred to Marlborough House for end of life care. All the staff treated mum with dignity and were kindness personified with me and could not have done anything further to ease our heartache through this difficult time. A huge thanks to Liz., Sunita and Julia to name but a few of the excellent staff there and I can’t recommend this care home highly enough.
