I have been working for Holly Lodge since it opened in 2008. I was a carer for many years before training & becoming a fully qualified Foot Health Practitioner. I have been giving regular foot care to the residents of Holly Lodge for several years. I have enjoyed working for Holly Lodge and have always been impressed with the high level of care received by the residents. It is a very friendly & caring environment. The staff will go the extra mile to ensure the residents are happy & comfortable. The home is well maintained & always looks clean & tidy. There are plenty of activities for the residents to enjoy. I would definitely recommend Holly Lodge.

I provide regular monthly art workshops at Holly Lodge and the care home is always spotlessly clean, and all the staff are so welcoming. I see firsthand how compassionate and professional staff are towards the residents as well. I definitely recommend Holly Lodge.

Mum has been a resident at Holly Lodge for five months. She has settled extremely well due to the skills of the nursing team and genuinely caring and respectful staff. The catering team produces a wide variety of appetising and nutritionally balanced food. The entertainment staff are always cheerful and have a great variety of activities on offer. They produce the Famileo gazette which keeps residents connected to their loved ones. There are also places for those who enjoy quiet time. The beautiful gardens are easily accessible. Visitors are encouraged and welcome to call at any time. The cleaning staff keep everything spotless. Mum has regular visits from the lovely doctor, chiropodist and hairdresser, and enjoys having a manicure. Her personal hygiene is well managed and she is always neatly presented. The management team are efficient, helpful and approachable. I cannot fault this very caring home and would recommend it without hesitation.

Moving a loved one into nursing care is such an anxious and distressing time for all, so we were so pleased with the care and attention our Mum and our family received at Holly Lodge.
The staff settled her in so well and are supportive and aware of her needs. They are very attentive and respond to Mum in a kind and caring way with dignity and respect. They use her name when addressing her and ours too when they greet us. Even when the staff are busy with other residents, they keep any eye out for anything else that is happening and respond quickly and appropriately. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is always spotlessly clean and tidy with a lovely atmosphere.
We have been impressed with the nursing staff. They have kept us fully informed and updated about Mum when she hasn’t been well, with them including us in conversations with the doctor, outcomes of any other discussions and ongoing follow-ups about how she is progressing and what we can do to help.
The Activities Team are brilliant. They are well led, full of energy, enthusiasm, are good fun and provide such a variety of activities to suit everyone (including relatives)! It’s good to see that they are inclusive of all residents. The array of outside entertainers and visitors provided is second to none and it is so helpful to see the calendar of events in advance.
Holly Lodge is well led and managed and provides a safe and caring environment. We couldn’t have chosen a better home for our Mum.

My brother and I are extremely happy with the care that our Mum has received at Holly Lodge since she moved in. All the staff make you feel welcome, whether they be management, admin, catering or laundry staff, nurses or carers and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have been particularly touched by the way staff have tried to accommodate our Mum’s cultural needs by asking about her food and music preferences. Not just asking but taking action such as playing her favourite music on the large tablet in the lounge area. I think it shows the high calibre of the home when things don’t go smoothly. I have seen this by the way that staff have kept us fully informed about mum when she has not been well, what the plan is eg discuss with in-house GP and the outcome of any discussion, with ongoing follow up about how she is progressing and what if anything we can do to help. It is a true partnership. We were so worried how mum would adjust but are totally reassured. Highly recommended.
