This is not a boutique hotel and the website photos give a very different perspective to reality – its on the high street, next ti vape shops, turkish barbers and convenience stores. Its a bed and breakfast, although the breakfast is serve yourself, limited options and no tables to eat at. For £114 a night, that’s expensive.
My room was OK, but lacked a mirror, which when you need to tie a bow tie for a wedding makes it very tricky. There was a small mirror in the bathroom. The toilet paper was like cardboard.
The shower had two settings – hot or scalding – which when outside temperature is 28c is not what is needed.
Positives: staff were lovely, bed was soft but comfortable, plenty of towels.

We were a group of five on motorcycles and we stopped here for the night on our way home, host was really accommodating, building and rooms were beautifully decorated and you could park out the back near a medical centre which felt pretty safe. Simple but good quality self service breakfast option. Bed was very comfortable, highly recommend 👌

Lovely service and a perfect central location for our team travelling from Swindon and Dorset, with convenient parking right outside. The meeting room was a great size with a kitchen included, and the food was excellent.

Our recent team offsite at A Little Place in Amesbury was exactly what we look for when we bring our remote-first team together. These moments are such an important part of our calendar, a chance to reconnect in person, reset, and spend meaningful time together — and this space couldn’t have been better suited for it.
It’s perfect for a work stay: thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and full of character without ever feeling distracting. There’s a real charm to the property, especially the cellar space, which quickly became a favourite spot for relaxed conversations and informal catch-ups. It has a unique atmosphere that adds something special to the whole experience.
The pantry was another highlight, a simple but much-appreciated touch. Having a cosy, well-stocked space to make tea and take a breather made it feel less like a formal venue and more like a home away from home.
Overall, A Little Place strikes that rare balance between practical and personal. It gave us everything we needed to work well together, while also creating space to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. We’d absolutely return for future offsites.
