I cannot thank Brunswick House enough for the care my dad Peter received, all the staff were amazing. During the final stages of dad’s life, they looked after him so well, made him comfortable and maintained his dignity. They also looked after our family with tea, cake, sandwiches so we could be by his side, so tremendously kind and compassionate.

I had respite care for two weeks after coming out of hospital. The ordinary carers were good but one of the nurses was extremely callous and uncaring. The manager at the time lied to me about the care I would get. Not recommended at all.

I have had the pleasure of working in this care home for the past 6 months as the administrator. Having never worked in a care home before I can honestly say that all the staff are amazing. To see them interacting with the residents on a daily basis is inspiring. I work closely with the manager and deputy manager who do a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure the safety and level of care provided is nothing more than the best. This place is more than a care home it is an ever growing family which I am honoured to be a part of.

My 85-year-old aunt, who suffered a stroke two years ago, has been living at Brunswick House for the past 18 months, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she’s received. I felt compelled to add this review as I had seen a recent review, (now removed) that I felt gave a very false and misleading impression of Brunswick. Although my Aunt was placed via the Hospital Discharge team which of course means a limited choice of facility, we were very impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The staff at Brunswick House can be truly exceptional. They’re always friendly, compassionate, and attentive to my aunt’s needs. They’ve gone above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being, from assisting her with daily tasks to providing emotional support. I’m particularly grateful for the nursing team, especially Rene, who have been incredibly skilled and patient in managing her medical needs.
The management is also top-notch. Karen Shaw is nearly always available, often outside ‘normal’ office hours to address concerns or questions, and with her team including Alison and Mandy, they’ve created a positive and supportive environment for staff, residents and their families. I have witnessed firsthand how the management’s support with staff has empowered them to provide compassionate and attentive care within a safe and enjoyable living space.
There is a real sense of community that exists among the residents. My aunt, who is not a social person at all, has made several new friends and enjoys the interaction with the care team from nurses to the cleaning and catering teams. It’s clear that Brunswick provides a fulfilling and enriching experience for its residents.
Overall, I can’t speak highly enough about Brunswick House. It’s a wonderful place where my aunt feels safe, loved, and cared for. If you’re searching for a caring and supportive environment for an elderly loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend Brunswick House.

Brunswick House is a wonderful nursing home. The manager leads by example, she models a caring and professional attitude that filters down to all staff, who display compassion, respect and offer wonderful care to those they are privileged to look after. The residence is clean, airy and homely, with every effort made to personalise spaces for each resident.
The home has made great progress in the past few years, and the whole team should be proud of the care they provide and the safety they give to vulnerable people. Thank you for looking after our loved ones in their time of need.
