I have safety concerns. Anusha the manager is aware of a dead tree in the grounds and a weak branch overhanging the drive (SCC wrote June 2025) both of which could fall at anytime harming people and property. SCC and CQC have no further interest.

My mother had vascular dementia, she was very angry and disorientated. One previous dementia care home refused to take her another wanted to medicate her. We went to Ashbourne Court and after meeting Anusha and talking through mums’ condition all our worries concerning her health care were alleviated. Their expert knowledge in dementia care was excellent. Mum soon settled and was happy and secure. We were often sent videos of her laughing and singing. The home was her additional family. The care and love my mother received was excellent and as a family we will never be able to repay Anusha and her team. We would not hesitate in recommending Anusha and her team at Ashbourne Court.

Our late Mother/ Mother in Law spent her last few months at Ashbourne. Suffering dementia, Management and staff were patient,kind and caring. Not just for our dearest Mother, but of us her family too. Being close by where we lived, we visited daily, and Mum was settled and content in what were to be her last months. Extremely pleased and grateful to all the staff.

Due to the concerns of my family and the care home that my relative moved to, this care home was the subject of an investigation by the local authority. The conclusion was that:
“Based on information gathered, on the balance of probability, (my relative) did experience neglect by Ashbourne care home.”

My partner has been a resident at Ashbourne Court for two and a half years. Unfortunately his condition has deteriorated considerably but the care he has received has been first class. During the restrictions of lockdown the staff endeavoured to enable him to keep in touch via FaceTime. We were kept informed of any changes in his condition. Ashbourne is a small , friendly, homely Residential Care Home which I would recommend
