Fabulous went forth longest yarn very accommodating in staying open we’ll past closing so.everyone got to.see the exhibition above and beyond, the refurb on church itself was very impressive too

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is an exhibition currently in this church but going “on tour” soon. It’s called “The Longest Yarn”and represents the D-Day landings in knitting and crocheting in 80 small cabinets. Extraordinary feat. The exhibition is free but support the cause by buying the £10 booklet. Check the internet for venues and times, be prepared to queue/wait though. We sat in the warmth of the church pews for 2 hours first but it was worth it. GO AND SEE THIS DISPLAY PLEASE.

Google maps give the impression this Church does not exist but you need to go to Claycart road to find it or go further along the Farnborough road and you will be able to see it. I found it by searching for Wellington statue. I’m sure you will enjoy when you visit.

My son was married here, where my sister had been baptised.
Interesting building, in the ugliest of 19thC sort of heavy Gothique, filled with military monuments and laid up colours.
