Tanya was grandad’s primary carer and made his life undoubtedly better while in her care. She gave everything, way above and beyond our expectations and was truly part of our extended family. On Tanya’s days off, everyone gave gramps their best, the whole of Penponds cares deeply for all those they look after. When gramps sadly passed we could tell it affected the team just as much as us family members, and that meant such a lot. I cannot fault Penponds, they come highly recommended.

Penponds have been caring for my mother-in-law for many years now, and the word caring, is true! They are a wonderful, friendly & professional team. Any worries or concerns you may have about your relative, you can talk to them, & they listen , & will do their very best to help.. For example; A couple of months ago we were away on holiday and I had a call from Michelle to say that the Chemist who was supposedly!! Doing my mother-in-law s Dosset boxes hadn’t done them!! Don’t worry she said,, & took it upon herself to phone my mother-in-laws doctor to get a new script sent to a different chemist.(Panic over!!) Well done, & many thanks to all the team. Valerie.xx

Penponds is exceptional. There is no one in Penponds that I would not recommend from administration to the carers. I will give a particular to mention to Tammy Belcher who looked after my mum and REALLY cared, she went the extra mile and showed real compassion. My mum liked to laugh and Tammy made her laugh. They had a real and lasting relationship that lasted to the end and beyond. Tammy’s mother Michelle also deserves a special mention, she was marvellous when my mum went walkabout (it only happened once) we had the police out, it was dire. Penponds found my mum and brought her home. I moved in the next day. I have not the words to express my gratitude. Thank you. Much love as always to you all for your service. Jane Byrski Hunt x

I have met Tanya, Shelley and Helen from Penponds when they are doing their daily visit to my dad, who is 88. What astonishes me is their patience, kindness, enthusiasm and good cheer. The service extends well beyond personal care to include cooking small meals, making tea, cleaning, running errands and collecting prescriptions (as well as mending broken toilets).
Above all is that they spend time chatting, whilst managing to work at the same time. It’s impressive and my family are grateful, as is my dad. Thank-you.

These carers were just the most gifted, compassionate and skilled people with my relative with dementia. They weren’t phased when another national agency said that there was nothing that could be done with my mother to keep her at home because she was so stroppy and uncooperative.
They gave Mum many more wonderful months still in her own home, knowing just how to build rapport with her and help her still feel in control, even when she wasn’t actually capable of being so.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
