I cannot recommend Berkshire Psychology highly enough.

We initially came to them for an assessment for my child after facing a very long NHS waiting list. From the very beginning, the assessment was incredibly thorough and professional, and we felt listened to and understood throughout the whole process.

What has impressed me most, however, is the support we received long after the original assessment had finished.

When we later received a conflicting opinion from the NHS, I contacted Berkshire Psychology for advice. Rather than simply defending their original diagnosis, Dr Jenny Murray and the senior clinical team took the time to review everything again, including the NHS assessment report. They welcomed the opportunity for their own assessment and conclusions to be scrutinised and gave me an incredibly detailed and thoughtful explanation of their findings.

They remained confident in their original clinical opinion and supported me in asking for the case to be looked at again. Their advice, knowledge and reassurance gave me the confidence to keep asking questions when I knew that something didn’t seem right.

After a very long process, my concerns were eventually upheld, the NHS acknowledged that their original conclusion had been incorrect and apologised, and my child is now being given the appropriate support.

I am incredibly grateful to Dr Jenny Murray and the team at Berkshire Psychology. Not only for the thoroughness of the original assessment, but for the integrity they showed afterwards. They didn’t have to continue helping us, but they did, and they genuinely cared about making sure the right outcome was reached for my child.
