We only had afternoon tea there. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and it was pleasant sitting outside in the shades on a sunny day. Service was ok, the tea itself was good, but not exceptional. Huge amount of clotted cream most of which we had to leave… The grounds were partially dirty which I found a bit sad.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful, credit where credit is due. However, with the exception of a lovely lady at reception, the service experienced by both of us throughout with senior members of staff was below par and respectively rude at times. Positive attitude and service with a smile goes a long way and basic customer service would drastically better people’s experience.

The perfect spot to enjoy a classic afternoon tea. We sat outside on the terrace looking out over the expansive lawns. Our table was pre-prepared and the gluten-free requirements of our guests from the USA had been noted and taken care of. The food and service were impeccable and the price very fair. Our guests were charmed.

Stunning location, Main building & Decor. Plenty of parking. Impressive Dining area & table settings. Only had cooked breakfast which was good. Service was good.
Very reasonable price for our Annexe Room in Hepburn House. Lovely little room & in room facilities. Hot shower was superb. But didn’t sleep well.
Clomping of heavy feet up the stairs & down the stairs at 3am wasn’t welcomed. Btw, NO LIFT in this building if you’ve heavy plentiful luggage, good luck 😂
Also, unfortunately, our room was directly above their Gym. Okay if you don’t mind being woken up at 6am with periodic thumping Gym noises.
At Check out, I thought I’d inform the Duty Manager of our experiences as constructive feedback. Nice guy, listened & noted our “complaints”.
Now that we know, we will definitely book a room in the Main Manor House next time.
Yes, we do recommend this Hotel but do book wisely xxx Have fun fellow travellers 🍀🍀

fantastic management, that couldn’t do enough for you.
Great atmosphere,
Food & wine was delicious,
table decorated with style.
Great music, that got everyone up dancing.
Thank you to everyone, that worked so hard.
