My brother has recently started receiving care (he has a diagnosis of MND) and I have been very impressed with Acacia so far. It was very important for us that the agency we used was experienced with this condition and Acacia provided us with that reassurance (currently supporting other people with the same condition). I have been particularly impressed with the local Coordinator, Nelly Butoi, who presented as knowledgeable, professional and approachable. Nelly also attended the first 2 care visits (with different carers) to oversee and to ensure that my brother and I were comfortable with everything – this really helped with my brother’s anxiety and reassured me – I think it’s a really good model. The 2 carers are competent, friendly and respectful, helping to make a difficult situation more manageable.
