Had a very tasty Sunday lunch here – nice service and the food was good and well cooked. Prices were also much more reasonable than some other gastrointestinal type pubs. Well located too on pretty village green.

Our Sunday roast wasn’t anything like the photos on google reviews, which is a real shame. The atmosphere was like a doctors waiting room, not much to entice and outsider. The staff were pleasant enough, I cant help feeling that its lost its mojo.

This is a lovely pub. I went with the family for a meal and the waiting staff were excellent. Really friendly and accommodating. I had one of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a pub for a long time. Definitely worth a visit

So lovely! The staff is amazing and very thoughtful, the food is delectable, the beer & wine are also very very good. Family friendly, dog friendly and I’ve become a regular with only 2 days left in town! I dont want to leave! If y’all are hiring, I’m the american that’s come in every day the last 10 days!! The landlady is so warm and welcoming as is the staff. I cant wait to come back and I will definitely be back, TODAY,and will be sending all my family and friends who visit to Martin’s Pond. Thank you for such a lovely & scenic & delectable spot to spend time! Also, they have the system in place for anyone in need of help from maybe a stranger or bad date which I find to be quite kind and thoughtful. The toilets are pristine. I

Late booking but accommodated and happy that we got in. The roast was amazing. The veggies cooked perfectly. The red wine (malbec) was a decent bottle for the price and enjoyed by all. Deserts were large and lush. Definitely coming back once I’m over my food coma!
