We had our wedding at Cress Lake in August 2025, and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue! We’re still on cloud nine, and our guests can’t stop telling us what an amazing time they had.
From start to finish Georgie, Leigh, and the whole Cress Lake team were incredible – so friendly, thoughtful, and dedicated. They really took the time to get to know us and our vision, then brought it to life in the most seamless way. Everything was tailored for us, from the welcome drinks and cocktails to the tipi setup and the flow of the day. They also introduced us to trusted suppliers and coordinated with them on all the details, which took a huge weight off our shoulders.
On the day itself, everything ran flawlessly thanks to their impeccable planning and tireless work behind the scenes. You can tell the Cress Lake team genuinely care about every couple’s day being perfect.

We booked Cress Lakes for our wedding in July 2025 and from the first moment that we met Georgie and Leigh 18 months before our big day, we knew they were going to help us have the best day! It is a family run business with the most gorgeous outdoor venue, they helped us turn our festival-style Tipi wedding into a reality. The whole team at Cress Lake are just the nicest people and they were there every step of the way for us. They really made us feel like we were a special day for them too, and we started to feel part of the family. The tipi itself was incredible, and we could decorate it however we wanted. And the lakes and grounds are perfect if you are looking for an outdoor, scenic wedding vibe. We truly can’t recommend them highly enough, thank you so much to the whole team at Cress Lakes for the best day of our lives!!

We truly had the wedding of our dreams at Cress Lake.
This venue is for you if you want an idyllic place immersed in nature, but with all the amenities to make the most memorable party. We really enjoyed how we were able to shape the day based on our tastes and vision in mind and how the venue and contact with the owners didn’t feel transactional – we truly felt like the place was ours for the weekend!

The Cress Lake team are young, enthusiastic and caring. As a Wedding Supplier I have been delighted to work with them at their beautiful venue on the outskirts of Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire.
The venue has a beautiful lakeside spot for ceremonies, but there are also endless possibilities for photos, including an over lake swing and a rowing boat. The setting for the reception TiPi is stunning, particularly when lit for an evening celebration.
