Charming green space located in the heart of Berkhamsted, and much bigger than I had ever realised!
Paths are in very good condition, and I really enjoyed the Celebration of Life glass wall where people have left messages for loved ones. A lot more going on than at first glance, and a peaceful space to visit.
Rouge Gorge
Restored Victorian cemetery steeped in local history. Burials of interesting local figures including authors, WWI generals, historians, clergy and an Egyptologist. A hidden green space teeming with wildlife – the spring dawn chorus here has to be experienced!

Well worth exploring. Just off Berkhamsted High Street (just behind The Rex) Big old trees, peaceful green spaces. And now the Rectory Lane Cemetery Project is encouraging people to visit and make use of it. A great way to find out about the town’s history and make use of the space.
