Don’t be mislead or fooled and think you are staying in the wonderful building in the pictures on the website instead you are sent to building that’s about a 5 minute walk from this amazing place that looks more like university campus block in a tatty 70’s the rooms are tiny no air-conditioning just a cheap plastic fan to keep you cool broken windows and an out look on to a un kept garden area and being kept awake all night with doors banging. There was only very basic tea and instant coffee facilities in room. The picture on this review is supposed to be a King Superior room priced at £438.00. We were ripped off to say the least. The included breakfast was a joke not enough tables to sit at. The Breakfast was served between 8 and 10 we got there at 9 to find no free tables and very little food left. No decent coffee as pictured in the sales brochure only jugged filter coffee. We ended up paying £10.70 for 2 very very hot Latte (so hot I actually burnt my mouth) and a stale Croissant from the on site Coffee shop . Please see other reviews if you do not believe me. A real shame – Further more I emailed the Hotel to give them a chance to make amends and they didn’t even have the courtesy in replying. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY

Absolutely stunning building steeped in history. The grounds are beautiful and make for a great slow walk to take in the surroundings. I was lucky enough to stay here for a few days so was able to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful place.

We visited on a gloriously hot and sunny day which made the gardens look stunning as all the roses and rhodadendrom were flowering. The cafe was so nice and served some very nice smoothies and Japanese milk bread sandwiches, the chicken was delicious. Well worth a visit and it’s free for RHS members.

Spent a week at Ashridge on a corporate retreat… and what a place it is. My room was in the lodging area (I don’t think anyone can stay in the main house) but was perfect for what I needed (though a little cold for an American). England also did not disappoint as it rained probably every day but the one I got the pictures attached. The food was good each day and the house itself is beautiful, huge expansive rooms with vaulting ceilings. The trim and attention to detail is impeccable. But the star of the show, for me at least, was the gardens. There are trees on this property older than 3 generations of people. There are so many plant varieties and trees from all around the world that you can just meander for hours and still find something new. So much iI could write about- but really you should just experience it for yourself. I also got to see the Harry Potter series being filmed here. The place is just nice and peaceful and visually what you would expect.

Staying at Ashridge House felt like living in a museum, every corner reflects timeless elegance and classic design. The castle and its stunning gardens are absolutely breathtaking, offering a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, matching the grandeur of the place.
