Where do I start ..from the moment we contacted Heritage to arrange my mothers funeral which was unexpected ,we found the service was second to none ,we met Sophie on our first visit ,who was happy to work at our pace to arrange our Mothers funeral ,we are pragmatic so had a clear idea of what we needed -Sophie took notes and went through the process seamlessly ,she guided us and went through all our options .That first hour is key in planning someone’s final journey with your chosen undertaker .Sophie kept us updated in the coming weeks ,advised on florists, took our instructions for the order of service and before arranging the printing sent the drafts for review and comment, kept us updated on where my mother was laying to rest at all times ,arranged the viewings for family members and found the correct celebrant for the day ,Carole was amazing ,she devised the perfect service around our conversations and it felt that she really knew our mother without even meeting her .
Sophie ensured every detail we requested was met ,even the obscure one of passing a costa coffee on my mums final journey ,nothing was too much trouble at all which to us meant a great final farewell.
Adam the undertaker was also very supportive checking in the night before on the next days arrangements and supporting the family on the day of the funeral.
Overall the service from Heritage and Sons was gold plated ,they made a difficult /emotional day into a great celebration of our mothers life (Which is all we could ask for )
After the funeral Sophie has kept in contact as we now need to transport our mothers back to Ireland ,she organised the correct paperwork to enable us to fly and kept us posted of when the ashes were back her care and when we can collect .

Highly professional, but also sensitive and supportive. During the planning of my wife’s funeral, Sophie Vanderwalle almost became part of our family. Advice on Celebrant and florist proved first rate. The provision of services on the day was discrete and sympathetic.

My preliminary dealings were mainly with Allison at Tring, and on-the-day logistics of the funeral were managed by Ben. All negotiation between Heritage, the Church, the Florist(s), and myself worked seemlessly.

The funeral service for my lovely wife was beautiful, and everything I wanted. I’m extremely grateful to the people at Heritage Tring.
