Went for a two yearly check up, and extra eye health check. No pressure to buy new frames, sight hadn’t changed. Health report on my eyes was good to know so would recommend having it for the extra £10

Welcomed by the staff at reception as I entered the shop. I gave my name and appointment time and they then double-checked the information they had for me was up-to-date. I was asked to sit in the waiting area until I was called through. My optician was professional, attentive and helpful; fully explaining about my eyes and answering my questions. I really felt I was listened to. The following visit to collect my specs was fast and I wasn’t comfortable with the assistant that dealt with me; she was too busy with her conversation with other staff members and that’s why I dropped from 5 stars to 4. A bit of a shame after the first visit and the first time I’ve been made to feel that way in any Specsavers store, and I’ve been a customer for a long time across 4 stores in East Anglia (Cambridge, Ely, Great Yarmouth and Beccles).

Great service from a very attentive team. Great communication and help even before the visit. Every test and all options available were explained fully at all times. No pressure to purchase as I had advised wanted a member of my family with me on another visit.

Broke my glasses (sat on them). Took them to the shop, short wait to be seen. They had new frames available and fixed them very quickly at no cost because they were Specsaver glasses. Very polite and efficient staff.

Booked an eye test last minute yesterday morning and went along to my appointment, I was slightly early but was able to go straight in and taken to a desk to check through my details – the man who helped me was very polite and informed me that the optician was running slightly behind (which didn’t bother me at all seeing as I was already early).
I then went to have some photos taken of my eyes straight away (the lady who did this explained what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable throughout). I was then sent to wait in the waiting area for the optician.
Whilst waiting, a lady approached me and apologised for the optician being behind and offered to make me a hot drink. I thought this was such a lovely touch even though I didn’t mind in the slightest for waiting.
When it was my turn for my eye test, I was greeted by a very cheerful optician (Tom), he offered to take my drink to the exam room for me as he could see I had my hands full. The actual eye test was the most positive experience of an eye test I’ve ever had. Tom was thorough with what he was doing and took the time to explain things to me, he was also very friendly, cheerful and made the whole experience pleasant. Whilst Tom couldn’t give me a definite reason for why I’ve been having issues, he carefully explained the next steps I should take without rushing.
I’m not always one to write reviews, but when service is exceptional I certainly think credit is due. Lots of little things that were done before and during my appointment added up to such a brilliant experience.
Keep doing what you’re doing; you give such great customer service. I shall definitely be returning and recommending you to friends and family ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
