Care Campaign for the Vulnerable (CCFTV)

I was first made aware of Jayne and the wonderful work of the CCFTV through a friend at work. After sharing the difficulties we as a family were having with trying to achieve properly-targeted, consistent care and encouragement for my Grandma, and bearing witness to her decline as the failings continued, Jayne wasted no time in providing the emotional and practical help and support that was so desperately needed.

With Jayne’s forthright and compassionate guidance, I have been able to talk to hospital and care staff with a level of assuredness and clarity that has meant things have just got done, and I have learned how to compose a well-structured and appropriately-worded formal complaint that receives a response that goes beyond the ‘token’ reply.

The support here has been amazing – prompt, and encouraging when needed. Professional and kind always, I cannot thank you enough Jayne and CCFTV.

I was first introduced to CCFTV and Jayne by a lovely family I met in hospital. My Uncle had been admitted to hospital following becoming seriously ill in a care home.
My Uncle unfortunately passed away which left our family devastated and looking for answers regarding his care in the home.
When I first spoke to Jayne she advised me to make contact with the care home to which I was initially reluctant on doing linked to all the distress our family felt. Jayne supported me in going to meet the home which became the start of a further investigation.
Jayne has been on this journey with me and my family for the last year and has worked tirelessly to support us. Jayne is extremely knowledgeable in the care home sector and supported us in navigating what we needed to explore in my Uncles case.
Jayne is both sympathetic and empathetic and really understands families and their dilemmas with the care system.
CCFTV are a none profitable organisation who are really engaged and passionate about supporting high standards of care in care homes and are engaged with care homes to support improving standards of care by liaising with organisations and management systems.
Jayne is an amazing women who is both encouraging passionate and is extremely approachable. In all the time we have known her nothing has been too much and she has continued to be both empathetic and encouraging us in moving forward to support our cause. Although my Uncle is sadly not with us now Jayne continued to engage with us to support us in finding answers for my Uncle’s care.
If any families are struggling either to navigate the care service or need support in challenging unanswered questions I would highly recommend this service.

Not knowing where to turn for support for my mother’s upcoming CHC Funding Meeting I spotted Jayne being interviewed on TV & rang her to see if she could assist.
Jayne was so patient, understanding & listened to my mother’s dementia journey.
She said she’d be happy to be an advocate at the meeting.
I’m so pleased she was, as I felt a lot more confident & supported during what turned out to be 2 separate long meetings. Jayne’s input was so valuable & I’m pleased to say the full funding was agreed.
My mother can now be moved to a complex needs specialist carehome where she’ll be safe & more settled because they can meet all her challenging needs.
Jayne also offered to give us any help needed in the future.
