Goldenley care home in Benfleet isn’t like every other care home. The moment you walk in you realise it’s special. The home is very stylishly decorated and feels so homely. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble, everyone smiles . My father is five weeks in to his stay and he has got happier and happier every day. The rooms are very well decorated , the residents are encouraged to make their rooms homely. The staff have worked so hard getting to know him , they know what he likes and what he doesn’t. This is so good because having to move somewhere different and settling in is harder the older you get. My father has a production line of tea delivered to him throughout the day and he loves the food. Goldenley has a dedicated team led by Faith looking to entertain and stimulate the residents. The home has singers , dancers, bands on a regular basis and a service on a Sunday. Since my father has been here they have celebrated St Patrick’s day, St George’s day, Easter, and VE Day. You only have to look at the homes FB page to see how much the team do and how much fun the residents have.There is a very happy atmosphere in the home , which is very evident. The staff are simply amazing and can’t do enough for the residents. I have to say this is by far the best home we visited before we decided which home to place my father.

My mother has lived at Goldenley in Benfleet for over a year. All the staff are wonderful, working together as a complete team to ensure the residents are as happy, comfortable and healthy as possible, including entertainment. My mother enjoys their company and has also made friends with other residents. The food is good, with appropriate choices for the residents’ needs. Family & friends are welcomed and encouraged to personalise the rooms.

Dad initially went to stay for 4 weeks respite but was happy to become a permanent resident when the respite ended. The home is a fantastic, clean, spacious place. Staff are caring, warm and friendly. This home is the perfect place for your loved ones to be cared for.
