I felt I had to write to express my thanks and appreciation for the way Padfields acted following my elderly Mum’s illness, subsequent stay in hospital and move to a care home. We had ordered a new sofa for her but as she was not going to return home it was very much surplus to requirements and the order could not be cancelled as manufacture of the sofa was well on the way. Padfields agreed take delivery anyway, to reimburse 50% of the cost and give the remaining 50% as a credit note.
Such kindness and consideration seems increasingly rare these days. What an amazing firm – they will have my custom from now on for sure. Thank you Padfields!

Excellent furniture store highly recommend. Great friendly and professional service, no over selling. Very convenient to the Green Lane car park plus you can park out the front to load. Barnstaple is a good place to buy furniture as there are a number of good furniture shops nearby so price competitive and excellent range. More productive than travelling to Taunton or even Exeter.

An excellent place to buy furniture with personal service and helpful staff. We were left alone to browse and when we asked for help it was there straight away. We ordered two items that were in the shop itself, a sofa and a sideboard. Both were ‘available’ and purchased there and then. Nice and easy. No pushy sales. It was left that the delivery team would make contact to arrange delivery. Whilst driving home we got a call and were offered the next morning! Delivered with consideration by two friendly lads and no unpacking required by us. Couldn’t be better.

What a fantastic local business.
Had a mattress delivered today and when I unpacked it, it had some staining.
One call to the store, a call back from the boss a few minutes later and a replacement mattress delivered within a couple of hours.
Local businesses like Padfields are just brilliant, the contrast with internet suppliers service levels is night and day.
We have also found their prices excellent for the quality of products they sell.
