CHC continue to keep me informed at all stages and again have provided very professional and expert advocacy for our appeal to ICB. Whilst providing input myself the thoroughness of the work done by CHC meant it wasn’t essential.

My brother and I contacted CHC to see if they could help navigate us through the process of the ICB wanting to put our father into a nursing home and self funding, even though we thought he had more complex needs due to his dementia. We had an initial meeting with them and were dealt with both professionally and empathetically and were told a few days after this meeting that they were sure our father should be able to have his care paid for. Long story short, our father is now in a nursing home and this is being fully funded by the local authority although his savings are above the threshold. If it hadn’t have been for CHC and their advise, we would have been paying for our fathers care.
I cannot recommend contacting them enough, even if it’s for an initial meeting.

Compass CHC – has been a life line for me. I had never heard of CHC funding, it was a work colleague of my Sisters that brought Compass CHC to our attention.
Discovering Compass CHC has meant that I have been able to keep a roof over my head as I had reached the stage where my only option was to sell my home to cover my Mums Care Home Costs.
My Advocate Georgina was calm, professional, extremely well informed, approachable, no questions I had were seen as irrelevant and for the first time in a very long time I felt supported. Compass have the experience and ability to see the process from a medical perspective, which I would have not been able to do on my own. The back office process before Advocacy stage was non stressful, timely, helpful and took away the anxiety and stress that I hade been feeling. We decided to use Compass CHC to help us secure funding for a relative in a care home. They promise you everything when they speak to you. They did a good job collating evidence for the case but there were long periods of non-communication and constantly having to chase them up. They seemed to lose interest once they had their money. Negative outcome for us unfortunately.
