Anchorstone Nursing Home

If I could give this home more than 5 stars I would. They have done an incredible job looking after my brother Wally over the last 3/4 years. He passed away Saturday. I have seen first hand the amazing care that they give to their residents. It is a thankless task but I will always been in awe of the job they have done and the amazing care and assistance they have shown to my brother. They make sure that all the residents are given maximum care and retain their dignity as much as possible Thank you to Anchorstone I will always remember your tireless care x

Treated my Mum awfully in this lack of care home.. She fell over and hurt her leg but they told me it wasn’t that bad and they could care for it in house..
when I came to collect my mum to take her home, she was full of delirium and complaining that her leg hurt..
The nurse removed the dressing and you could actually smell how bad the infected leg was.. Even the social worker said she could smell how bad the leg was and they said they changed the dressing the day before.. I had to drive her straight to St Peter’s hospital where she had to have IV antibiotics and I had to bring her everyday because of how bad the infection was..
Some days later, she fell because of her bad leg and ended up in hospital again, with a broken hip.. She had the op and then went to another hospital, where she then got DVT in the same bad leg..
All this home had to was take my Mum to hospital and get the wound treated properly but no, they left her to literally rot and now she’ll never be the same again.. This home was very grubby also and I highly recommend you never use this home.. Gutted I have to give one star..
