I went in for a 2 yearly check up opticians was amazing. However i left without purchasing glasses due to the horrendous upselling. I Atempted to buy 2 pairs of glasses in a buy 1 get 1 free, both pairs were £130 so cost should be £130 i also had a voucher from work for £50 which in theory brings the cost down to £80. Not in this store miniunim cost £290 thats being told i had to choose between either using my for a computor or reading but i wouldn’t be able to do both. I was offered price ranges between the said £290 or £380 to be able to use them on both and £440 to not walk around the room and be dizzy with my glasses on. Absolutely nothing brought the price down to anywhere near what is advertised.. i have a very low prescription and can read most things so its not like i was in dire need so I left without glasses. Go home check on line with my prescription can get both pairs for £130 pounds but cannot use the voucher. I am happy with upselling but this was way beyond a joke. Please be cautious with the level of upselling i this branch they are obviously bonus driven with no interest in customer needs.

I recently attended an appointment at Specsavers and wanted to share my experience in the hope that it helps improve future customer service. Unfortunately, my visit did not run as smoothly as expected. There was a noticeable delay when booking in at reception, followed by a further delay before my scheduled appointment began. While I appreciate that busy periods can occur, clearer communication or better time management would have made the experience more reassuring. I have now had my new glasses for just under two weeks, and I am still unsure that the prescription is entirely suitable for me. I am experiencing some difficulty adjusting to them, which leads me to believe that something may not be quite right. As a result, I will need to arrange a follow‑up appointment to have my eyes re‑checked and to ensure the lenses are correct. I have always valued the service provided by Specsavers, which is why I am taking the time to provide this feedback. I hope that my concerns can be addressed promptly, as I would like to feel confident and comfortable with my new glasses.

Great service overall, but the waiting experience could be improved. I was not acknowledged while waiting. I appreciate the staff may have been busy dealing with other customers, but being informed would have made the experience feel better.

I booked myself and 2 of my children in for appointments. 2 days ahead of the appointments I was contacted by someone at our Specsavers who asked if I wanted to group the three of us together in a common appointment slot. This meant that we were able to stay together. Very helpful and professional service. Very patient with my very wriggly youngest for his first eye test, too.

Rebecca was extremely helpful throughout my experience. She was great on the phone helping to resolve the issue with my lens mail being cancelled before I even visited the store. In person, she supported me with my eye test and made choosing my glasses very easy. She was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Excellent service overall. The gentlemen who did my eye test & contact lenses check was also very thorough and helpful.
