The Donnington Care Home – Bupa

I come here regularly to sing for the residents, and I can honestly say this is such a wonderful place to be. From the moment I walk through the doors, I am always met with such warmth, kindness and big smiles from every single member of staff.
they really are all exceptionally lovely, welcoming and genuinely caring people.

You can see straight away how much they care about the residents as they treat everyone with so much respect, patience and love and it creates such a happy, friendly atmosphere throughout the home.

Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they always make me feel so valued and welcome every time I visit.

I visit the home regularly and am always greeted cheerfully with a smile. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have some great activities for all the residents to enjoy and nothing is too much trouble. Residents that I chat with usually have story to tell about their week which makes it a pleasure to go in and visit.

SOME of the Nurses we amazing but I was not happy with how my Dad was put into a forced world of silence and not able to communicate because someone took his hearing aides and his glasses so he couldn’t see to write well either. My Sister, myself and several of the nurse aides looked through everything, took his clothes out one by one until empty then handed it to the other Incase one missed it. When he was to the point of being almost out of it miraculously his hearing aides showed up in the same draws we all looked through, the next day his glasses showed up as well. There was no way we over looked them. He also told us a man was mean to him as well as one of the nurses. We had to figure out that he was in pain and then I was told he was just restless. I would never put a family member in there again. The ones I saw being good to him was I believe the tea lady, her Daughter and granddaughter. I know there were a couple of others but not sure who.
