My mum was a resident at lilleybrook for 8 years until the 4th April 2026.
The dedication, care and support they gave my mum was exceptional. The professionalism off everyone, from Kim the manager, the nurses, team leaders, carers, catering and housekeepers they all had a huge part of my mums care. They became family. They kept me up to date with her care, even down to having a flu jab. Towards the end I don’t think I could of got through the last 24hrs of her life. The love and support they gave me and my family will never ever be forgotten. If you have a lived who has dementia I can hand on heart recommend this beautiful home.

Lilleybrook Care Home provided excellent care to our Dad/Bamp throughout his time there. They treated him with such dignity, respect and compassion and made him comfortable in his last few days. The staff are such a credit, showing empathy and care to the family too. Special thanks to Sam inparticular who went above and beyond. We can’t thank the home enough for the care provided and would highly recommend (especially after experiences at other local care homes).

This care home does seem to have gone downhill this year. Lacking good management. After several complaints from others they were reinspected by the cqc in Jan and are now rated as ‘needing improvement’ and I have to agree. While you get a few regular staff who do seem to personally care, a lot of staff are agency staff, so there is little consistency for my father. I often find him with a wet pad/wet sheets and he rarely looks well kept in his appearance. Having to stand outside his door while they change him, hearing him shout out in pain, was disturbing to say the least. There seems to be little in the way of stimulation/interaction on the nursing ward. There seemed to be little on the residential side too. No rehab seems to have been given to my father since he returned from hospital for a broken hip in April (which occurred at the home in mysterious circumstances that nobody seems to be able to explain).
We are now looking to move my father to another home. I hope that they can get a decent new manager on board and sort the place out because I currently wouldn’t recommend it, at all.

I would like to make an honest reveiw and say everything is perfect, but I feel with cost cutting and lack of staff things could be improved. I often have to wait at the front door for 10 minutes because no one is on reception. On many visits there have been no towels or toilet paper in the bathroom. These things need to be sorted.

This care home feels like home, the staff were so caring and compassionate to my Nan, I hope I will be looked after as well when I’m old! Thanks Paulina and team.
